Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Haircare

My hair's been quite dry recently which I think is mainly due to the fact that the increase in exercise has meant that I've been washing, and therefore drying and straightening, my hair more often.  It was looking a bit parched so these products popped up at just the right time.

The shampoo and conditioner are intended to replenish dry hair and they said to have a dreamy scent to put your mind at ease.  Whether you like the scent will mianly depend on how you feel about lavender.  Although there is noticeable smell of mint, it is the lavender scent that is strongest both when you're lathering up and when you're drying your hair.  Now I love lavender and I do find a wonderfully relaxing scent so this is great.  I find the shampoo and the conditioner very relaxing to use for this reason and I also love that the smell's quite strong whilst I'm blow drying and straightening.  There will be those of you though so just can't get past the nana-ness of such a lavender scented product and that's fair enough.

The shampoo gives a rich lather and the conditioner is lovely and thick.  I only need 4 pumps to cover my ends and mid lengths and it's the perfect pick me up for my dry hair.  I still use an intensive conditioner every couple of weeks (another Paul Mitchell product which I'll no doubt review as well) as well as this duo, but I am hugely impressed about the effect these have had on my hair.  It looks much more sleek and shiny and needs very little styling product to whip it into shape.  Good for the pennies, though not massively helpful for Project Bathroom.

Paul Mitchell products are available in salons as well as various sites online.  As I haven't tried any of the sites, I'm not linking to any of them but they definitely gets a thumbs up from me.

What are your favourite products for perking your hair up?  Do you rate Paul Mitchell products?

*The products reviewed above were provided to me for review purposes. Everything that I have said is honest and I am not paid to review this product*

I haven't used any Paul Mitchell products for years but I really like the sound of these. I'm like you and rather like the smell of lavender. I really like mint too and it's nice to have a hair scent that lasts.

Thanks for the great review,
Jane x
