First things first, the shade name annoys me. Because this, quite simply, isn't purple. It's slightly more purple toned than it appears in these pictures, admittedly, but of course the camera had a difficult time catching that what with purple being a beauty blogger's nightmare to photograph.
Urban Purple is a safe shade though. A rich, burgundy red cream that is pretty opaque in one coat and dries mega quickly. Oh and it has that thick brush which is great when you have huge wide nails like me. This is just one coat and for that reason it's one of my favourites when you need to do your nails really quickly and head out. That's what I did before taking this pictures which is why application is a little messier than usual.
It's difficult to get excited about a shade like this and I don't which is why I've had it for a year or more and not used it in a NOTD post but named it as one of my
favourites shortly after starting the blog. It gets loads of use but is a pretty dull shade, is that weird?

It's a nice shade, I get your point about it not being that exciting but it's a pretty colour, one I would ear often!
Actually who am I kidding I never wear a shade often.. But if I did...
I have a creamy metallic shade that's not very exciting, but it's the same make as the one you'd just blogged about. So as it's a neutral colour and dries quick, it's a good one to use when I'm in a hurry. Like this morning in fact, put a quick coat on this morning before work. Sorted.
I have this one and although I like the color I used it only once, over a year ago, I have way too many polish to do repeats, it seems
I get that - polishes that are nothing special and yet they get used over and over, I guess just cause they look good on the nail and with various outfits but they're nothing to write home about? All the same, this is a pretty colour, I have several like this, they always seem to be a staple colour in peoples' polish collections haha! I'll look out for it next time I go into Boots :) xx
Incredible colour!
I have a couple of colours that I keep going back to again and again that are just kind of neutral and almost *shhh* dull.
This colour really doesn't do it for me, and I can't put my finger on why which is a bit strange. Just seems a bit "meh" and lacking. It's annoying me that I can't figure out what I dislike about it though haha!
